On the final step of doing a coolant Reroute on my NB Miata. Having some issues with the hose routing. It’s a snug fit and I am concerned about the hose rubbing on pointy bits. And the evap , a/c, and intake do a wonderful job of getting in the way.
I have been debating getting a hard pipe for the straight section like what is available from Aurora designs.
Anyone done this before and have ideas?
Example of the hard pipe idea

That seems like a great place to put a hard pipe. How is it held in place?

Ive not heard of anyone putting a hardpipe in place. Whose kit are you using? If FM or Supermiata, I'd not worry about it. They know what they're doing, and if you needed a hardpipe, they'd have given one to you.

It is flyinmiatas latest kit. In their video install they wrap some of the hose with spare bits of hose as a sacrificial barrier. Looking for a better solution.

Hose clamps I believe. I would want to make stand offs probably to cradle it.

I see no reason not to have a hard pipe but yes you would have to anchor it securely to prevent rattling. What is wrong with the current set up?

On the other hand, wouldn’t that insulate better? Hard pipe like that might absorb heat running past the block (granted, that’s intake side).

Sitting on sharp edges, and the final bend to the radiator mouth causes the hose to interfere with the throttle.

True engine bay heat transfer could be an issue.
